This guide handles the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just right before Thotar provides a taming Rod for the Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will provide you with a number of 3 taming rods, every one is different and lets you tame beasts in the following order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and eventually an Armored Scorpid.

When you have completed the taming Component of the Quest chain, you check it out have got to head to Orgrimmar and talk to Ormak Grimshot while in the Valley taming rod wow classic of Honor in order to unlock your troll hunter pet quest pet managing abilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Last but not least, remember to visit the Pet Trainer and grab the Pet skills that you will need to give to your pet.
